Does faction matter?
Yes. Gold cannot be mailed or traded between Horde and Alliance inside the game, so sellers list each side separately and you should buy for the side your character is on.
How is the gold delivered?
Most sellers deliver by in-game mail to the character name you give them; some offer face-to-face trade. The delivery window on each row is the seller's own commitment.
What do I have to give the seller?
A character name, the realm and the faction. Never a password, never an authenticator code, never account access. A seller asking for those is not selling gold.
